Mickael Zhu has been with the company since it started, and he’s proven a key asset to Koosmik over the years. With his skills and dedication, Mickael Zhu has risen through the ranks to become CTO (Chief Technical Officer). Working closely with Grégoire Yakan, they decided together on the direction that the application should take.

When did you start working with Koosmik?
MZ: Officially, in 2017, but I started at Koosmik as a freelancer in 2014.
What do you like most about Koosmik?
MZ: The challenge, and the fact that I’m learning a lot since I’ve been at Koosmik
What is a typical day like?
MZ: I start by reading my emails, I answer questions. I give the tasks to my team, and I code until the evening. I stop when I’m asked technical questions, or when I have to make code review.
How do you react to the unexpected?
MZ: I think through the issues with my colleagues, and determine how to react, then I act.
What is your favorite programming language?
MZ: Hard to say, I would say Python. But the Ocaml language is interesting to me too.
